Update: Gore-bal Warming Hype Imploding?

P.S. As I predicted, see below, the much-hyped Gingrich-Kerry Slug-Fest over "Global Warming" turned into more of a HUG-fest, as each vied for the disgraceful title of tree-hugger in chief--and, as the Washington Post puts it, they just barely avoided bear-hugging each other!

P.P.S. Celeb radical Camille Paglia comes out against the Global Warming DOGMATISM -- the woman shows some sense once in a while... Will others have the testicular fortitude to follow? Fausta points out some more irony of the media madness over it all. When will sensible folks point out the 83% of the American people have been duped or brainwashed, and that the Emperor (penguin) has no clothes???

As we have long maintained, the global warming hysteria, epitomized by ALGORE's convenient lies, is unscientific, unhistorical, illogical and fanned by pure SOCIALISM, UTOPIANISM, your basic VAST LEFT-WING CONSPIRACY and general liberal insanity...when not also by the megalomania of Al Gore or John Kerry and gang!

Why so Gloomy?

April 16, 2007 issue - Judging from the media in recent months, the debate over global warming is now over. There has been a net warming of the earth over the last century and a half, and our greenhouse gas emissions are contributing at some level. Both of these statements are almost certainly true. What of it?

Recently many people have said that the earth is facing a crisis requiring urgent action. This statement has nothing to do with science.

There is no compelling evidence that the warming trend we've seen will amount to anything close to catastrophe. What most commentators—and many scientists—seem to miss is that the only thing we can say with certainly about climate is that it changes. The earth is always warming or cooling by as much as a few tenths of a degree a year; periods of constant average temperatures are rare. Looking back on the earth's climate history, it's apparent that there's no such thing as an optimal temperature—a climate at which everything is just right.

The current alarm rests on the false assumption not only that we live in a perfect world, temperaturewise, but also that our warming forecasts for the year 2040 are somehow more reliable than the weatherman's forecast for next week.

p.s. Don't expect much from the hyped "debate" between Gingrich and Kerry! They are both busy selling BOOKS on the topic. Gingrich agrees with 80% of the global warming hoopla...only differs on the solutions... When in fact there is LITTLE that can be done to try to avert the NATURAL WARMING of our planet due to forces well beyond our control... like that glowing ball of fire in the sky known as the Sun.
