Re-submitting Bolton's U.N. nomination is an excellent sign that GWB is not ready to roll over!
But with that mental deficient Chafee STILL refusing to vote for Bolton in the Lame Duck session, the chances are near nil. THAT would be a big loss.

- Joe Lieberman to the rescue? I wouldn't expect him to change party affiliation, but he won't back down on support for Israel and stabilizing the Mid-East at any rate... The Dem backstabbing of him will be one lucky wrench in their machinery!

Rumors that Pelousy's leadership in the House is NOT going unchallenged--Murtha (alias Borat in military drag) and Hoyer are planning a go at it, allegedly--ended with Murtha being bought off, or not!

Hoyer may make a fight for the spot! Let's hope... Maybe Murtha's corruption scandals will finally come into the spotlight now, since Republicans seem not to have any guts left at all!

- Gingrich chimes in with his Monday morning quarterbacking on the Rumsfeld dismissal: would it have changed the election if he were replaced two months ago? Dems would have stalled on confirming a replacement and taken the move as a vindication of their criticisms!

I remain optimistic, at least about the chances that the Knee-Jerk MEDIA will regain some sanity on national security and the war effort. So long as Democrats can claim credit for any successes, the Knee-Jerk Media may well tone down their Stalinist agenda and take a look at their ratings and sales for a change...

I think I heard somewhere that Bush has a sign on his desk that says something like, "It doesn't matter who gets credit, so long as the job gets done." That philosophy may serve him well once again.

p.s. I noticed this morning that PBS's NPR folks are now regularly saying "PRESIDENT Bush" instead of something akin to "that man Bush" as their usual nomenclature. Interesting.
